Are you looking for an opportunity to live the life of the rich and famous? Well, this is your chance to try out all of those British customs you've always wanted to experience. All thanks to this audiobook version of "The Intouchables" by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. This story is about Phillipe, a quadriplegic who has never known love or had any social interaction with people prior to getting involved with Driss, a caretaker from the ghetto who's been hired as his personal assistant. As Driss works tirelessly at being his friend and forming a relationship with Phillipe, their lives take unexpected turns as they teach each other about themselves and grow closer together. Feeling inspired by this film? Want to take a trip down memory lane? Then check out "The Making of the Film" which talks about the everyday struggles of making a movie. It's a heartwarming documentary that shows what it takes to make a high budget film, and the dedication and personal sacrifice that comes with it. Unfortunately, there are no special features included with this version of the audiobook, but don't let that stop you from enjoying this one-of-a-kind story. Audio Rating: 4/5 starshttps://www.facebook.com/theintouchablesmovie#!/photo.php?fbid=10151204629318369&set=a. 198109964923.156470.1525588649&type=1&theater Audio Rating: 3.5/5 stars After hearing about the film, I decided to read the book because the story really intrigued me, and I liked it even more than the movie. It was very nice hearing Stéphane’s (Driss) voice in this book because I felt like it gave insight into his character, which was not fully developed in the film.I enjoyed every part of this novel; however, my favorite part is when Driss decides to take up a job as a caretaker for his boss. That is when his character really develops. Also, Driss’s relationship with Phillipe was interesting to read about because it shows how he wanted to be accepted and respected by the people around him. While the book was interesting to read, I felt that certain themes were over-used.This story can also be used for a discussion on racism because Driss was discriminated against so much by his fellow man, but he never let it get him down. He always wanted to be liked, and he never cared what other people thought of him because he knew that they only saw the outside of him. "The Intouchables" (in French: "Les Intouchables") is a 2011 drama film about quadriplegic Philippe and Senegalese caregiver Driss, who become close friends and begin to help each other's lives. Written and directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano (with a co-writing credit of Jean-Pierre Jeunet), with a cinematographer by Benoît Delépine. cfa1e77820
